Not a lot of progress today. Gotta spend some quality time with the missus ya know! But here is the initial stab at page 3. Gradually getting the heroine to look consistent throughout the story, which is nice if you're trying to be coherent and actually tell a story.
You know, it would be cool to get some suggestions for a title for this book. The story deals with society which has reaped the benefits of advances in genetics, nanotechnology, robotics and information technology, but has since fallen on some hard times due to some sort of cataclysm involving the aforementioned technologies.

Here is page 2, a little further along, and a view of all twelve pages laid out at their current state of completion. And now I probably oughta get back on to some of the paying work...

Some beginning thumbnail sketches for the cover art. I will probably be using this as my "David & Goliath" design exercise as well (our concept art department at work sometimes does extracurricular design exercises to mentally switch gears once in a while; our current assignment is a re-imagining of the "David & Goliath" theme). Maybe kind of a cop out but hey it's a time management issue...

And here are pages 0-5 of the thumbnails. Again still scratchy, and also you might notice that I have changed the design of the main character back to my original sketch from several posts ago. I want to get a certain mix of sci-fi, contemporary and fantasy in the look and feel.

Bet you all thought I had given up on this eh? Just because it's been a few months... Anyway this is a shot of pages 6 through 11 of the comic book story idea that started this blog in the first place. It's still in the extremely scratchy thumbnail stages, but I think you can start to see how the story and action are flowing.

I recently learned that my friend Seth Fisher passed away recently. I will miss him terribly.
If you are not familiar with his work, please check it out:

I did this sketch of some characters that might appear in one of Seth's worlds. Thanks for all the inspiration Dude. I cannot believe that you are gone...
